Prof. Vadim Akulenko (Department of Korean Studies, Institute of Oriental Studies - School of Regional and International Studies, FEFU) gave two lectures on the latest problems of the ancient Korean history studies in the DPRK and the ROK.

International conference “Russia and Korea in changing world order: politics, economy and culture” will take place on 19th of May, 2016 in the Far Eastern Federal University, Vladivostok. There will be more than 30 lectures grouped into 3 sections: “Contemporary problems of Korean peninsula: politics and economy”, “Culture and Law” and “History”.

Director of Regional Programs at the Russkiy Mir” Foundation, Executive Director at Russian National Committee on BRICS Research, Director of Asian Strategy Center at Institute of a Economy of Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Economics, Professor  G. D. Toloraya will represent plenar lecture “Korean peninsula modern situation and Russia challenges (including Far Eastern aspect)”.

The day before conference, 18th of May, G.D. Toloraya will read public lecture “Russia turns to Asia – humanitarian aspects”.
